Runway Ready: Project Runway Canada Premieres

The season features twelve talented Canadian designers, each bringing their own unique style and story to the runway.

Project Runway Canada premiered on Crave on November 14, 2025, and will run for ten episodes through January 16, 2026.

Hosts and Mentors

The show is hosted by supermodel Coco Rocha, who also serves as a judge. She is joined on the panel by fashion icon Jeanne Beker and streetwear designer Spencer Badu.

Meanwhile, Aurora James, known for her socially driven accessory brand Brother Vellies, mentors the designers throughout the competition. The season was filmed at Toronto Metropolitan University’s School of Fashion.

Naimo Awale (Spruce Grove, AB)

Naimo Awale

A self-taught Somali-Canadian designer, Naimo’s label Nina Nayema mixes East African heritage with high-fashion glamour. Her bold silhouettes and rich colour palettes have graced runways from Milan to Paris.

Delayne Dixon (Kamloops, BC)

Delayne Dixon

With 14 years in the industry, Delayne designs pieces that feel both powerful and intimate. Her “Mob Wife–meets–sustainable” aesthetic reflects her commitment to mental health and bold femininity.

Maya Ginzburg (Montréal, QC)

Maya Ginzburg

Once on track for med school, Maya pivoted into fashion with her brand By Maya Ginzburg. Her collection combines sustainability, gender inclusivity, and striking basics—like her famous customizable Cowboy Wrap Pants.

Taalrumiq (Terrace, BC)

Taalrumiq

Rooted in Inuvialuk and Gwich’in traditions, Taalrumiq brings her ancestral sewing knowledge into modern design. Her pieces weave together cultural storytelling and couture craftsmanship.

Charles Lu (Hamilton, ON)

Charles Lu

Charles studied at London’s Istituto Marangoni and worked in Dubai before launching his label. His signature style blends architectural tailoring with emotionally resonant narratives.

Curtis Matysek (Toronto, ON)

Curtis Matysek

Corsetry expert and educator Curtis runs Wuthering Delight, reimagining historical silhouettes with a queer lens. Their work celebrates both artistry and personal identity.

Little Feather Migwans (Toronto, ON)

From Mnidoo Mnising Spirit Island, Little Feather uses couture outerwear to celebrate her Indigenous roots. Her designs are elegant, powerful, and deeply meaningful.

Leeland Mitchell (Toronto, ON)

Self-taught and bold, Leeland (also known as Made by Leelando) crafts dramatic, glossy looks from unconventional materials. He’s dressed icons like Charli XCX and Troye Sivan.

Catherine “Cat” Préfontaine (Montréal, QC)

Founder of Maison Préfontaine, Cat mixes Western flair with Montréal sophistication. Her raw textures and refined finishes reflect both grit and elegance.

Rome Ramsay (Toronto, ON)

Model-turned-designer Rome brings streetwear energy and gamer-inspired flair to his label Vveyago. He’s known for bold, boundary-pushing pieces.

Naomi Shindak (Winnipeg, MB)

What’s at Stake

Over ten weeks, the designers will face challenges testing their creativity, technical skills, and runway vision. The winner will receive $100,000 from TD, plus the title of Canada’s Next Great Designer and a feature spread in Elle Canada.
