Dramatic Win in the West Final

In a tense, back-and-forth matchup at Mosaic Stadium, the Roughriders edged the Lions 24–21. With just 11 seconds on the clock, quarterback Trevor Harris found receiver Tommy Nield, who hauled in a game-winning three-yard touchdown.

Harris had led a critical seven‑play, 76‑yard drive that shifted the momentum in Saskatchewan’s favor.

Coach Mace’s Strategy Pays Off

Head coach Corey Mace praised his defense for holding firm in key moments. According to him, the Lions had opportunities, but Saskatchewan’s second-and-short stand proved to be pivotal.

Road to the 112th Grey Cup

With their victory, the Roughriders secured their ticket to face the Montreal Alouettes in the 112th Grey Cup, scheduled for November 16 at Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg.

This will mark the fourth Grey Cup matchup between the two franchises.

Redemption After a Long Title Drought

Saskatchewan’s last Grey Cup win came in 2013. This return to the championship stage speaks to the resilience of the franchise.

Quarterback Harris, now in a leadership role, has helped anchor the offense throughout the season — and now has a shot at earning his first Grey Cup as a starter.

The Stakes in Winnipeg

The Grey Cup is more than just a title game — it’s a national celebration. This year, the festival includes concerts, family events and cultural showcases from November 10 to 16.

For Saskatchewan fans, it’s a chance to revive Rider pride on a national stage.
